SUMMER, ARTS, SPORT Kamp; SERVICE 2014
The Project aims to explore sports and culture in youth work as a way for young
people to develop employability skills. The methodology will be non formal activities.
The issues which we addressed:
-Development of transferable life skills in young people 13-17 at a time in their lives
where it is hard to engage in youth work and support young people, specially young
people with fewer opportunities and perceived barriers to enter a good University
course/career/job.
-Development of youth workers professional skills at a time where there is little
funding for youth work and we need to keep a good youth work force that is
motivated and has a spirit of service, willing to engage and keep learning how to build
good relationships and develop young people.
-Spread good practice around youth participation to partners who have not such a
broad experience.
-Create opportunities for common evaluation, dissemination and networking for
future activities.
